Private Practices
Going into private practice can be one of the most exciting, fulfilling, and stressful endeavors that one accepts in their professional career as a psychotherapist.
I have spoken with many therapists that have started a practice and were simply not able to continue due to unforeseen obstacles and setbacks. The investment that a licensed therapist makes in this profession is immense. Typically, a licensed therapist has invested over six years in their education plus an additional 3000 hours in internship to have the opportunity to practice. Of course this is all with no guarantee of return on investment.
While the idea of going into private practice can be intimidating and overwhelming, it is not a road that one must necessarily travel alone.
I was fortunate to have an undergraduate background in finance and an additional nine years in corporate America prior to moving into the world of mental health. This background has given me a unique set of skills and perspective that creates the perfect marriage of business acumen and therapeutic know how.
Private Practice Mentorship is for therapist that are currently in practice and desire to grow their current practice or for those considering venturing into the private sector as a new entrepreneur.
